DuPont Nomex® Laminates

The combination of polyester film and Nomex® paper produces an excellent mechanical strength and temperature resistance for electrical insulation – making it ideal for all types of electrical machines.

Nomex® Laminate is a cost effective solution with excellent thermal, chemical, and radiation resistance.

Strong, temperature resistant insulation - Type NM

Dupont™ Nomex® Laminate type NM is a duplex laminate constructed of calendered Nomex® paper bonded to polyester film with a proprietary high temperature adhesive system.

This laminate is designed not to delaminate or blister at high temperatures. The polyester film in this two-ply laminate contributes high dielectric strength, as well as good initial tear strength and tensile properties.

The calendered nomex® paper provides long-term thermal stability, as well as improved propagation tear strengths.

The two-ply structure allows for easy insertability of the slot liner using automatic insertion equipment.

Long-term thermal stability insulation – Types NmN

Nomex® laminate type NmN is a triplex laminate constructed of calendered Nomex® paper bonded to polyester film with a proprietary high temperature adhesive system.

This laminate is designed not to delaminate or blister at high temperatures. The polyester film in this three-ply laminate contributes high dielectric strength, as well as good initial tear strength and tensile properties.

The calendered Nomex® paper provides long-term thermal stability, as well as improved propagation tear strengths.

Tear resistant insulation - Type NK & NKN

Dupont™ Nomex® laminates type NK and type NKN are duplex and triplex laminates constructed of calendered Nomex® paper bonded to Kapton® polyimide film with a proprietary high temperature adhesive system.

These laminates are designed not to delaminate or blister at high temperatures.

The kapton® polyimide film in these 2- and 3-ply laminates contributes high dielectric strength, as well as good initial tear strength and tensile.
